نَقَثَ, aor. ـُ {يَنْقُثُ}; andنقّث↓, (inf. n. تَنْقِيثٌ, Ṣ,) andانتقث↓; He hastened, was quick. (Ṣ, Ḳ.)

نَقَثَ الأَرْضَ, aor. ـُ {يَنْقُثُ}, inf. n. نَقْثٌ. He dug up the earth with a hoe or shovel. (AZ.)

نَقَثَ العَظْمَ (aor. ـُ {يَنْقُثُ}, inf. n. نَقْثٌ, TA;) andانتقثهُ↓; andتنقّثه↓; (TA;) He took out, or extracted, the marrow from the bone. (Ḳ.) See also نَقَتَ. (TA.)

تنقّث He endeavoured to make a woman incline to him, and to render her affectionate to him: (Ḳ:) as though he drew forth her love, like as one draws forth the marrow from a bone. (TA.)
