ندم ندى نذر


1. ⇒ ندى

نَدِىَ It was, or became, moist, or moistened. (Ṣ, Ḳ.)

مَا نَدِيَنِى مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ, (M,) or مَا نَدِيَنِى مِنْهُ شَىْءٌ أَكْرَهُهُ, (T,) [A thing, or a thing that I dislike,] did not betide me or befall me [from him]. (T, M.) And لَا يَنْدَاكَ مِنِّى شَىْءٌ تَكْرَهُهُ [A thing that thou dislikest] shall not befall thee [from me]. (M.) مَا نَدِيَتْ كَفِّى لَهُ بِشَرٍّ [My hand did not evil to him]: and مَا نَدِيتُ بِشَىْءٍ تَكْرَهُهُ [I did not a thing that thou dislikest]. (T.) سَأَلْتُهُ فَلَمْ يَنْدَ لِى بِشَىْءٍ [I asked him, and he did not to me, or for me, anything]. (TA, in art عنو.)

3. ⇒ نادى

نَادَى عَلَيْهِ [He made proclamation of him] (Ṣ, A, Mṣb) بِٱلْإِفْلَاسِ (A) or أَنَّهُ أَفْلَس (Ṣ) or بِأَنَّهُ صَارَ مُفْلِسًا (Mṣb) [that he had become bankrupt, or insolvent].

[نَادَى به He proclaimed it; made proclamation of it: a very common signification, but one which I have not found in any Lex.]

You say also نَادِى فِى النَّاسِ, meaning تَأَذَّنَ and تقَدَّمَ and أَعْلَمَ. (Ṣ in art. اذن. [See آذَنَهُ].)

نَادَاهُ He called him; called to him; summoned him, or hailed him: (Ṣ, Mṣb:) or, (T, M,) and نادى بِهِ, (M,) he called out to him (T, M) with the loudest voice. (T.)

تَنَدَّى [quasi pass. ofنَدَّى↓, It was moistened, by dew, or the like: or] i. q. نَدِىَ [it was, or became, moist]: said of a place [&c.]: and i. q. نَرَوَّى. (TA.)


نِدَآءٌ

نِدَآءٌ signifies simply The raising the voice; not implying the expression of meaning by speech. (Er-Rághib, TA.)

حَرْفُ نِدَآءِ A particle of calling, or hailing, or invocation; as يَا.

نَدًى

نَدًى, originally, Rain: (Mṣb:) [but generally it seems to signify dew, absolutely; or day-dew.] See a tropical usage in a verse of El-Kumeyt cited voce رِقْبَةٌ.
