نبهرج نبى نت

نَبَاَ عَنِ الضَّرِيبَةِ It (a sword) recoiled, or reverted, [or glanced off, or away,] from the thing struck with it, without penetrating, or without effect; (TA;) returned from it without cutting; (Mṣb;) took no effect upon it; (Ṣ;) syn. كَلَّ. (Ḳ.)

نَبَاَ It (the edge of a sword) would not cut; was blunt. (TA.)

نَبَاَ عَنِ الشَّىْءِ It (the sight) recoiled, or reverted, from the thing; was repelled by it; (Ṣ,* Ḳ,* TA;) syn. تَجَافَى (TA) and كلّ. (Ḳ.)

نَبِيَّةٌ A thing like the سُفْرَة, q. v., made of palm-leaves, upon which flour or meal is sifted. (I'Abbád, O, Ḳ.)
