قَشِفَ, inf. n. قَشَفَ, He was coarse in his living: this is the original signification: he was neglectful of cleanliness: (Mṣb:) he was neglectful of washing and cleanliness; unfrequent in paying attention thereto; slovenly with respect to his person: (M, Mṣb:) andتَقَشَّفَ↓ signifies the like. (Mṣb.)
