هفا, said of the heart, It fluttered, or palpitated; and, as Z says, was flurried by reason of grief, or of beating. (TA.) See 1, in art. فهو.


هَفْوَةٌ

هَفْوَةٌ A slip, lapse, fault, or fall into wrongdoing; pl. هَفَوَاتٌ. (TA.)
